Terms of Service

Last updated September 01, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Trismea LTD for the use of Trismea. Creating an account means accepting them.

What Trismea is

Trismea is a computational instrument for traditional astrology and ceremonial practice. It computes positions from a published ephemeris, searches date ranges for skies matching conditions you describe, draws figures, indexes what named books say, and keeps a record of your own work.

It is not advice. Nothing produced by Trismea is medical, psychological, legal, financial or professional advice of any kind, and nothing in it is a prediction of any outcome. Astrological and magical practice is not a substitute for a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant, and decisions you make with a chart in front of you are yours. Use it accordingly.

Where the tradition disagrees with itself, Trismea shows both readings and marks neither correct. Attributions and delineations are statements about what a named book says at a named place — they are not endorsements of the claim, and they are not warranted to be free of transcription error. Rows that have not been checked against a printed edition are marked unverified in the interface, and you should treat them that way.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • Give a real email address and keep it current — it is how we reset a password and how we tell you about a change to these terms.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Two-factor authentication is available and is worth switching on.
  • Accounts are for one person. A team account lets you invite others, and each of them signs in as themselves.

The subscription

A Trismea subscription costs $29.90 per month and gives an account the whole console: charts, electional search, rites, the magical record, the workshop and the cited corpus.

The trial is seven days and takes no card. Nothing is charged when it ends, because there is nothing on file to charge — the account simply becomes read-only, and everything you wrote during the week stays there to read and to export. There is nothing to cancel. One trial per account.

If you do subscribe, the subscription renews each month until you cancel it, which you can do at any time from the billing page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not refund part-months as a matter of course. If something has gone genuinely wrong — a charge you did not expect, a service that was not there when you needed it — write to support@trismea.com and we will sort it out rather than point at this paragraph.

Prices may change. An existing subscriber will be told by email at least 30 days before a change affects them, and cancelling before it takes effect costs nothing.

What happens if you stop paying

Your account becomes read-only, not closed. Your charts, entries, rites and talismans stay where they are; you can read them and you can export all of them, as Markdown or JSON, from inside the application. Writing resumes when the subscription does.

We are not building something you cannot leave. The export pages are open to lapsed accounts on purpose, and that is a commitment rather than an oversight to be tidied up later.

Your material, and ours

Everything you write in Trismea remains yours. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service — to store your material, to display it back to you, to back it up, and to show it to the other members of a team account you have put it in. We claim no other right in it. We do not use it to train anything.

Trismea's own software, interface, guides, transcriptions and the arrangement of the correspondence corpus belong to us or to our licensors. You may use them for your own practice, including commercial practice — print a talisman sheet, export a chart, take an election to a client. You may not resell, redistribute or bulk-extract the corpus or the delineation index as a dataset.

Underlying sources have their own terms and we honour them: JPL DE440 is public domain, Skyfield is MIT-licensed, and the GeoNames gazetteer is CC BY 4.0 — which is why its attribution is printed wherever its results are shown and must not be removed.

What you may not do

  • Break the law with it, or use it to harass, threaten or harm another person.
  • Share one account among several people, or resell access to it.
  • Attack the service — automated scraping, load that degrades it for others, attempts to reach another account's data, or probing for vulnerabilities without asking us first. If you think you have found a security problem, write to support@trismea.com; we would much rather hear from you.
  • Present Trismea's output as a professional diagnosis, or as a prediction warranted by us, to anybody else.

Availability, and what we do not promise

We run Trismea carefully and we do not promise it will never be down. It is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind: we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that every computed figure or transcribed citation is free of error, or that it is fit for any particular purpose of yours.

Ephemeris coverage stops at the ends of JPL DE440 — 1549 to 2650. Outside that range the application refuses rather than extrapolating, and that refusal is the intended behaviour rather than a fault.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with Trismea is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you, and these terms do not take any of them away.

Ending it

You may close your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and except where the breach makes it impossible we will tell you why and give you a reasonable opportunity to export your material first.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. A change that genuinely alters the bargain will be sent to you by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use Trismea afterwards is acceptance of it.

Law, and how to reach us

These terms are governed by the law of [GOVERNING LAW], and its courts have jurisdiction — without depriving you of the protection of any mandatory law of the country you live in.

Formal notices go to Trismea LTD, [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Everything else — and we would rather have everything else — goes to support@trismea.com.
